On November 26, 2012, Hirst Applegate prepared and served a Cajun dinner to over 80 people at COMEA House and Resource Center in Cheyenne. COMEA is located on 1504 Stinson Avenue and provides emergency shelter for men, women, and families. COMEA has operated and provided services to the homeless of Cheyenne and the surrounding region since 1983. COMEA also provides travel assistance, food boxes, gas vouchers, bus tokens, and bus fares for travelers passing through Cheyenne.
