On September 16, John Metzke made a special presentation to the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum Board on charitable planning and giving. Metzke’s talk focused on both lifetime and testamentary charitable giving as he outlined various mentods of gifting and gifting strategies and which gifting methods might appeal to various donors. Metzke explored various tax implications and tax saving strategies associated with charitable gifting. He concluded his presentation by sharing various tips that he had learned from his many years of service as a member of the boards of directors of several non-profits in the Cheyenne area which included simple strategies to encourage donors to make charitable gifts.
