The competition provides an opportunity for current UW College of Law students to develop and practice trial skills in a hands-on setting—coinciding with the College of Law’s experiential education initiative. “We are extremely proud to partner with the law school in putting on this competition” said Billie Addleman, partner with Hirst Applegate. The winners of the Hirst Applegate Trial Competition will compete at a regional competition sponsored by the American Association for Justice. The goal of the national competition is to inspire excellence in trial advocacy through training and education for both law students and practicing attorneys. The winners of the competition were: First place team members: Ethan Doak from Fort Collins, CO; Kelby Scott from Lyman, WY; Adrianna Potts from Saint Ignatius, MT; and Adam Warren from Great Falls, MT. (They appear left to right in the photo above) Second place team members: Graham Hersh from Denver, CO; Grant Smith from Conrad, MT; Cash Freeman from Laramie, WY; and Tim Sowecke from Laramie, WY
