Allison Connell is a rising 2L at the UW College of Law. Originally from Sheridan, WY, Allison earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 2013 from the University of Montana in Missoula, MT. After graduation she moved to Washington, D.C. where she worked as a Staff Assistant for Senator John Barrasso (R-WY). After one year she accepted a position as Research Assistant for Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY), handling topics including energy and natural resources, agriculture, public lands, and judiciary. In the fall of 2015 she accepted a new position with Representative Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) as Professional Staff for the Congressional Western Caucus where she assisted in coordinating and promoting policy concerning Western issues for over 50 House Members.

Allison entered UW Law in the fall of 2016. She was offered the final oralist position on the UW Jessup team after winning the audition competition. The UW Jessup International Moot Court team won the Rocky Mountain Regional competition, a historic first for the University, beating teams from top law schools including NYU. The team represented the Rocky Mountain Region at the World Jessup Cup in Washington, D.C. where over 250 teams from more than 75 nations were present. She also serves as the President of UW’s Women’s Law Forum. Allison’s interests include natural resource law and trusts and estates, and she is excited to gain exposure to a wide variety of civil litigation areas during her summer at HA. Outside of law school, Allison’s interests include teaching yoga, enjoying the outdoors, and playing polo.
