Mandy Good and Shaina Case recently represented and defended a Wyoming employer against disability discrimination and retaliation claims asserted against the employer by a former employee. Less than one year from when the former employee filed his claim with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (“DWS”), Hirst Applegate obtained a dismissal in the employer’s favor. The DWS, in entering a no probable cause finding, determined that the employer terminated the former employee for poor job performance and that no evidence supported the former employee’s allegations. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) adopted the DWS’s findings.

Ms. Good and Ms. Case worked with the employer by preparing and filing a response to the former employee’s charge of discrimination, conducting informal interviews of the employer’s staff to gain information about the former employee’s claims, and participated in DWS interviews.
