On November 14, 2017, Hirst Applegate Associate Attorney, Laurie Rogers, gave a presentation to the Cheyenne Women’s Entrepreneur Roundtable at the Hirst Applegate offices. The title of the presentation was, “How to Handle Friends, Family, and Non-Profits Asking for Free Services – Learn how to say no and when to say yes.”  Bringing over two decades of experience owning and operating various small businesses, and more recent experience as a litigator, Ms. Rogers discussed how giving away one’s talent (and livelihood) should be part of a business plan or strategy.  In addition, she provided the Roundtable with a game plan to help the small business owners successfully donate their time and energy.  Ms. Rogers’ practice focuses on civil litigation, primarily in the areas of employment law, insurance defense, personal injury, and product liability.
