Attorney Shaina A. Case gave a presentation entitled “Wyoming Probate 101” through the CRMC Foundation on April 25, 2019. Shaina, a client-centered attorney with Hirst Applegate, LLP, focuses her practice in wills, trusts, and estate and trust administration. Shaina believes that preparing an estate plan is a gift we bestow upon ourselves while alive and well and one of the last acts of love we can leave our loved ones. Without a proper estate plan and titling of assets in place, probate or other unpleasant estate settling procedures may be inevitable. Shaina gave an enlightening and engaging overview of the probate process in Wyoming. Topics included what is probate, what happens in probate, asset titling, and probate alternatives.
