PROFILE

Casey Terrell is counsel at Hirst Applegate, a position he has held since 2024 .  Although Casey maintains a broad civil practice, his primary areas of focus include commercial litigation and transactions, real property transactions, and business planning.  He is licensed in Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and Texas.  Casey excels in navigating the human element of the practice of law, collaborating with his clients to understand their interests and perspectives to better advocate for them.  Casey was named as an American Bar Association (ABA) On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyer in 2022.  He currently serves on the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law Young Professionals Committee as Chair.  Casey has authored pieces for the Wyoming Lawyer Magazine, the ABA TYL Magazine, and the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law.  Casey has presented across Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain region on a multitude of subjects ranging from nuclear reactors to carbon sequestration.

PERSONAL

Casey and his wife Callie live in Sheridan, WY, where they are active members of their community.  They have three dogs, Lucy, Molly, and Bentley, and love spending time outdoors hunting, fly-fishing,  and camping.
