Lainee Jones is a summer clerk at Hirst Applegate, LLP. She proudly followed in her late grandfather’s footsteps by attending the University of Wyoming College of Law, where she has just finished her first year. Lainee earned high marks as a 1L, making Dean’s Honor Roll and winning first place with her partner in the Richard E. Day Client Counseling Competition. She is currently on the Board of Advocates, a member of the Women’s Law Forum and the Sports and Entertainment Law Club, and a BARBRI representative.

Prior to law school, Lainee attended the University of Wyoming, where she double majored in Earth Systems Science and Environmental and Natural Resources, with a minor in Sustainability. Lainee was a proud member of the UW Women’s Swim and Dive Team for four years, serving as captain her senior year and earning Mountain West Conference All-Academic, Scholar Athlete, and Outstanding Athlete honors all four years.

Lainee is originally from Pueblo, Colorado. Outside of the classroom or office, you can find her golfing, hiking and paddle boarding in Medicine Bow, swing dancing, or enjoying the many other amenities Wyoming has to offer.
